AboutBlueprint Touch started in Brussels six years ago, when Blueprint Partners organised the first touch competition in Belgium. The aim of this initiative was to bring together a diverse mix of people in a fun, social environment for the benefit of charity. Blueprint donated the profits of the Touch competition to RETRAK and in 2006 the Ecole Chanterelle, a school for disabled children in Brussels, became a beneficiary of the competition, too. The first 8 team league started in May 2005 and was made of teams from across the EU institutions, business, and sporting clubs. Blueprint Touch has now grown to 16 teams bringing over 160 players together in a league that runs each Wednesday for 9 weeks during the summer. Blueprint would like to thank everybody who has supported Blueprint Touch including Retrak, the Ecole Chanterelle, the Brussels Barbarians Rugby Club Eurocity. For the third year Fulcra International Financial Planning will be shirt sponsors. Blueprint Touch is being held in association with the Touch Belgium, which has an exciting programme of touch tournaments across Europe for players who want to compete internationally. Thank you and good luck for the 2009 season! Join Blueprint Rugby Touch Facebook Group! Testimonials from past team captains Blueprint Touch has become unmissable part of the summer calendar for UKREP. It's a wonderful way of breaking down barriers within our organisation, not to mention some serious stress busting action. Beating the Commission is an annual highlight for us...
Blueprint Touch tournament is a great way to enjoy get out on spring evenings and get some exercise with friends and colleagues alike. It's a nice way of meeting new people from a wide-range of backgrounds and different nationalities in a great location, just outside of the city. Over the years it's become a definite highlight of May in Brussels, with emails already arriving in March from people wanting to play. Finally, it's also a good way of supporting the charities concerned at the same time as letting off steam.
A great opportunity to wind down, socialise and earn a mid-week beer, safe in the knowledge it's all in aid of charity. The Blueprint Touch tournament is a great opportunity to play a fun sport, meet some new people and enjoy beer and burgers - the perfect antidote to a long day in the office! Touch rugby is a brilliant mixed sport that everyone can pick up. It is great to see the standard improve over the duration of the tournament and of course see the competition increase, whilst at the same time raising money for two very worthy children's charities.
The Blueprint Touch Rugby Tournament is a fantastic way of bringing people from all areas of the Brussels community together (beyond the borders of Place du Luxembourg), to raise money for two very good causes (RETRAK and Ecole Chanterelle). It's fun, sociable, everyone can participate regardless of their level, and its competitiveness is all in good spirit, which is evident in the post match analysis, which can be heard over a burger and a beer. "BlueprintTouch not only allows you to meet new contacts and old friends alike (these days they call it networking) and but it is done in such a fun loving and lung bursting way. The fact we are also raising money for charity is a real bonus and just adds to the feelgood factor." Documents: Blueprint Touch - Comprehensive RulesBlueprint Touch - Quick Rules Brochure 2010 |
